Ian - Drummer

Until 1997 i was known by the name Leanne then i realised the body i was in wasn't meant for me...........just kidding all.... Hello all,names Ian, i'm the drummer with AcSiA.

When i was young lad (still am compared to the rest of em) i was sent to learn how to read and write music and to learn how to play the keyboard/piano, i enjoyed this and even went as far as to perform a few times in front of my school with the school band. However, whilst rehearsing one night after school i decided to sit behind the drum kit and give it a go and it turned out that i could hit a beat or two. Joined a band with Moose and steve which for some years kept chopping and changing until we actually started to get some where as Echopark. Sticks Joined and we became $40 and we made a few ripples before he quit and formed AcSiA and drafted me and Andy in.

Who is your influence?...........Can't actually say i have any major musical influences i tend to watch any percussionist, famous or not, and see what looks and sounds good, then do the complete opposite!! Think i get my get up and go from my dad as he was

also in a band many moons ago called the Memories. Although he was the lead singer and i can not sing a note....wonder if he can play the drums???

Who would you most like to meet?........Might be a boring answer but there isn't anyone that i would love to meet, i've never been one for the whole celebrity stalking thing. Would be cool to

meet spiderman though, he's a legend!!

Chinese or Indian?.........Chinese......better looking, plus they know kung fu!! Chinese food is better too, which i do use chopsticks to eat it with!

What do you wish to achieve?........With the band, all i would like is for people to want to go and see AcSiA play, and be happy with what they hear! Nothing better than playing to a crowd of people!
